Tee Time Reservations

To begin the season we had only been accepting ONLINE RESERVATIONS.  There were two reasons for this.

  1. With limited pro shop hours (due to not being open daily) customers would leave messages for tee times and by the time we would return those messages the tee times had already been reserved by other online customers.
  2. To limit the number of “no shows” or groups that were not showing up with the number of players they had reserved.

Through the month of April we will be experimenting with allowing tee time reservations to be made over the phone.  However, we would ask for your understanding that if you do need to cancel or if you will not be showing up with the number of players you reserved for, then PLEASE contact us at least 24 hours in advance of your tee time.  We are simply asking for a phone call with an update so that we can fill any available spots.

Legacy Pace Of Play Policy

The Legacy believes that if we provide great course conditions and an enjoyable experience, customers will notice and in turn come back on a regular basis. An integral part of this has to do with their time on the course.  Whether you are the first tee time of the day or prefer to hit the links later in the afternoon, all golfers should play at the same pace. This is why we enforce our Legacy Pace of Play- 18 Holes is 4:15 or less ~ 9 Holes is 2:05 or less.

Course Update March 5th

We are ready for opening day tomorrow!  All of the tees and greens are clear.  A few fairways mainly in the low lying areas have some snow left to melt, but nothing that will prevent you from enjoying beautiful weather in Iowa on March 6th.  As the season begins here are a few reminders.

  • Please wear a mask inside the clubhouse
  • Carts will be restricted to the paths only for the foreseeable future
  • Driving range will remain closed for an extended period
  • Players will ride two players per cart.  For those players requesting their own cart there will be an additional $10 fee above the standard cart fee.  This is only based upon availability and The Legacy will make no guarantees that you will have your own cart.
  • Currently, tee time reservations must be made online and pre-payment is required
  • As of now we have the tee sheet open through Tuesday, March 9th.  We will continue to monitor the forecast and will make tee times available when we feel comfortable with the weather being good enough for golfing.

New Year, Same Pace of Play

Back in 2019 we began our pace of play initiative.  The most common complaint we received from our customers had to do with their extended time on the golf course.  We are providing an experience that includes first-class customer service, exceptional course conditions and state-of-the-art golf carts; all factors which play a very important part in customers returning.  Playing in a timely manner is a part of this experience.

We would like to thank each and every one of our customers who understands (and appreciates) our efforts. We thank you for helping us with this policy.  Regardless of the time or day, everyone is entitled to the same experience.

*The pace for 18 Holes is 4:15 or less ~ 9 Holes is 2:05 or less.

*If you are unable to stay on this pace, we will have your group step aside and allow ALL other groups behind you to play through.

Legacy Pace Of Play

The Legacy believes that if we provide great course conditions and an enjoyable experience, customers will notice and in turn come back on a regular basis.  An integral part of this has to do with their time on the course.  Whether you are the first tee time of the day or prefer to hit the links later in the afternoon,  all golfers should play at the same pace. This is why the Legacy enforces our Pace of Play policy- 18 Holes is 4:15 or less ~ 9 Holes is 2:05 or less.
